A Viral Scene from Episode 31

Episode 31 follows Frieren and her companions as they reminisce about hot springs while visiting the hot spring town of Etwas, only to find that the village has already fallen into decline. After hearing rumors of a hidden hot spring deep in the mountains known as the Etwas Mountain Secret Spring, the three set out on a journey to find it. What awaits them beyond the treacherous mountain paths, where monsters are said to dwell, remains uncertain. Upon reaching the next city, the story takes another turn as Fern receives an unexpected invitation from Stark.

During the episode, a scene showing Frieren bursting into tears was shared on the official X account with the caption: “Tantrum Frieren. Crying and screaming for three days and three nights, enough to make even Hero Himmel tremble.” The post quickly drew reactions online, with comments such as “In the manga this scene was just a single panel, but the anime fully brought it to life with about 30 seconds of nonstop crying. I love the original, but this is something only the anime can deliver,” “She’s like a baby,” and “I thought of this as Frieren sobbing, but officially it’s called Tantrum Frieren. That makes it even funnier.”
