Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 Episode 3 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Off to the Hot Springs and Delicious Food

The story and preview images for Episode 3 of Frieren Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 (overall Episode 31) have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 31 Story

In Episode 3, Frieren and her companions accept a request in a northern country village to polish a statue of a hero. However, the statue does not depict Himmel, but another figure once praised as the strongest among humankind.

While traveling, Frieren and the others set their sights on the hot spring town of Etwas, dreaming of a relaxing soak. Upon arrival, they discover that the mountain village has already fallen into decline. Hearing rumors of a hidden hot spring known as the “Secret Bath of Mount Etwas” deep in the mountains, the trio decides to head there. What awaits them at the end of the steep mountain path, which is both treacherous and inhabited by monsters?

After reaching the next town, Fern receives an unexpected invitation from Stark. Episode 31 depicts Frieren’s party pressing onward in search of the hot springs, facing hardships along the way. As they approach their long-awaited destination, what thoughts cross their minds? Newly released preview cuts include a scene of the three sitting side by side, bathed in the glow of the sunset. In a new town, Stark makes a certain proposal to Fern, leading Frieren to step in and lend a hand, setting the stage for a new development in the story.

Serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is a “post-adventure fantasy” that depicts what happens after the hero’s party defeats the Demon King. The story follows Frieren, an elven mage, as she embarks on a new journey with new companions in a world after the hero’s death.
