Episode 4 Story

After being asked by Yoi, “Is that really love?” Kohaku turns to his close friend Haru Sentaro to talk through his feelings. Haru suggests that it may have been an intense case of love at first sight, and that Kohaku’s feelings could be more serious than he realizes, prompting Kohaku to rethink what love means to him.

Meanwhile, Yoi regrets having spoken too strongly. When she goes to apologize to Kohaku, he responds by saying that he feels nothing at all, and even this small misunderstanding begins to sway Yoi’s emotions. Later, Kohaku, true to his easygoing nature, invites Yoi to the gyoza restaurant they were unable to visit last time. On their way home, Kohaku tries to come up with an answer to Yoi’s question, but what conclusion will he reach?

Yoi Takiguchi, a first-year high school student, is someone everyone admires. With a well-balanced appearance and a straightforward heart, “rather than a princess, a hero or a prince suits her better” — that is what both she herself and those around her have always thought.

“I’m not being a prince because I like it or anything…”

But one day, another “prince” appears. A single remark from Kohaku Ichimura, a senior at the same school, begins to shake Yoi’s world.

“…You’re unbelievably beautiful.”

As the distance between them suddenly closes, what begins to take root between the two — is it friendship, or love…?

A coming-of-age youth love story woven by a boy and a girl who are both called “princes.”
