The TV anime adaptation of In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, based on the popular manga by Mika Yamamori, is officially set to premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 4:30 PM JST.

This youth romance follows Yoi Takiguchi, a first year in high school admired as a “prince” for her refined beauty and graceful demeanour, and Kohaku Ichimura, an upperclassman who is likewise regarded as a “prince.” Yoi, who has long been perceived as princely by those around her and even by herself, finds her self-image shaken after meeting Ichimura, who treats her for the first time as a girl. The story depicts the confusion and excitement that stir within her as her feelings subtly begin to shift.

The first promotional video highlights these delicate emotional changes and also features a preview of the opening theme “Uruwashi” performed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN.

The cast includes Rei Ichinomiya as Yoi Takiguchi and Ryota Suzuki as Kohaku Ichimura, along with Aya Yamane, Momoko Seto, Shota Hayama and Kentaro Kumagai. The ending theme, “Azalea no Kaze,” will also be performed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN.

The original manga is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Dessert. The anime is directed by Yusuke Maruyama with Keisuke Warita as assistant director, series composition by Ayumu Hisao and animation production by East Fish Studio.
