The romantic story follows Yoi Takiguchi, a beautiful and composed high school girl admired as the “Prince” for her charm and demeanor, and her senior Kohaku Ichimura, a boy equally nicknamed “Prince.” The two “Princes” cross paths and develop a unique relationship that transcends gender expectations.

In the teaser, viewers witness the first animated encounter between Yoi and Kohaku. UNISON SQUARE GARDEN provides both the opening theme “Uruwashi (うるわし)” and the ending theme “Azalea no Kaze(アザレアの風),” both written specifically for the anime. Band member Tomoya Tabuchi, who is a longtime fan of manga artist Mika Yamamori, shared his thoughts on the collaboration.

Tabuchi commented, “I first discovered Yamamori’s works through my friend, the late Yonezu Tsuno, and I was deeply moved by each story—I even secretly wrote songs inspired by them. When we were approached for this project, I honestly wondered whether a rock band’s sound would truly fit this beautiful world. But after speaking with Yamamori-sensei, director Maruyama, and the anime team, I realized our role was to bring the sharpness only a rock band can offer, combined with the sensual tone that vocalist Kosuke Saito naturally brings. With that vision, I shaped the melodies and lyrics. I hope our songs can softly illuminate this work and enhance its emotional depth.”
