The upcoming TV anime Chained Soldier Season 2 has unveiled additional cast members for the squad leaders, along with details on the opening theme song.

Premiering on January 8, 2026, on AT-X and TOKYO MX, the second season will kick off with the “Squad Leaders’ Meeting” arc, featured in Volume 6 of the original manga. The new cast includes Kana Ichinose as Konomi Tatara, the First Unit Leader; Fairouz Ai as Mira Kamiunten, the Second Unit Leader; Manaka Iwami as Belle Tsukiyono, the Third Unit Leader; and Fuka Izumi as Yakumo Ezo, the Fifth Unit Leader. Additionally, Yukana will voice Fubuki Azuma, the Ninth Unit Leader. Returning cast members include Maaya Uchida as Tenka Izumo (Sixth Unit Leader), Akari Kito as Kyouka Uzen (Seventh Unit Leader), and Kana Hanazawa as Ren Yamashiro, the Supreme Commander and Tenth Unit Leader.

The opening theme will be “Hikari yo, Boku ni.” performed by Akari Kito, who also voices Kyouka. Alongside this announcement, new “Squad Leader Visuals” for Kyouka, Tenka, and Ren—released weekly since October—have been revealed. Updated character visuals for Yuuki and others are now available on the anime’s official website.

Based on the manga written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takemura, Chained Soldier is an exhilarating battle fantasy featuring charming heroines who fight to protect humanity from the mysterious alternate realm known as the “Mato.” The series will also host a special stage event at Jump Festa 2026, where Chained Soldier will appear on the Jump Studio Stage on Saturday, December 20, from 4:20 PM to 5:00 PM (JST).
