The manga Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? (Japanese title: アンドロイドは経験人数に入りますか??), serialized in Comic Yuri Hime (Ichijinsha), will receive a TV anime adaptation set to premiere in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, details about the cast, character design, and staff have been revealed.

The anime is based on the manga by Yakiniku Teishoku. The story follows Akane Tsuda, a 28-year-old employee at a major electronics manufacturer. One night, after drinking too much, she impulsively purchases Nadeko—a highly illegal adult-use romance android whose mere possession constitutes a serious crime. Though initially bewildered by Nadeko’s presence, Akane gradually finds herself drawn to her as the two begin a cohabitation that blurs the line between humanity and artificial intelligence. The series depicts their “sweet and slightly naughty” life together as a single office lady and her android roommate.

The production is handled by the animation label Deregyura, with Neko B serving as both director and series composer. Mitsuru Tsukimi is in charge of character design and color design, and the animation production is by Nyan Pollution-ω-.
