The preview images for Episode 13 of the TV anime This Monster Wants to Eat Me (JP: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし) have been revealed. This episode will air on Thursday, December 25 at 11:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 13 Story

Miko Yashiro receives an invitation to stay at a hot spring inn as a thank-you for helping out with the basketball club’s training camp. She decides to invite Hinako Yaotose and Shiori Oumi along, and the three set off on a short trip together.

However, Shiori appears downcast despite being at their destination, due to changes in previously made plans. Concerned, Miko tries to look after her and arranges moments where Shiori can spend time with Hinako. Meanwhile, Hinako herself experiences an unexpected change in her own feelings, hinting at a quiet but meaningful shift within her heart.

Introduction

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
