The preview images for Episode 9 of the TV anime This Monster Wants to Eat Me (JP: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし) have been revealed. This episode will air on Thursday, November 27 at 11:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 9 Story

Hinako cannot shake Ayame’s disturbing claim that humans mixed with her blood become inedible. Troubled by the thought, she decides to confront Shiori directly to learn the truth. Is Shiori’s blood really inside her body? And did they truly meet in the past?

When Hinako asks these questions, Shiori begins to talk about events from just before “that accident” took place. Her account leads Hinako toward a long-buried connection between them.

Introduction

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
