The preview images for Episode 6 of the TV anime This Monster Wants to Eat Me (JP: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし) have been revealed. This episode will air on Thursday, November 5 at 11:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 6 Story

The synopsis for Episode 6 has been kept under wraps prior to broadcast.

In the newly released trailer, the insert song “Tomoru” from Episode 5 plays as words exchanged between Hinako and Miko rise one after another from the depths of the sea, creating a hauntingly mystical atmosphere. Three versions of Episode 6 posters were also unveiled, each composed of two contrasting scene cuts and paired with emotional taglines that heighten anticipation for the next chapter.

Additionally, a new main visual featuring Miko has been released. Set in the same location as the previous Hinako version, this artwork depicts Miko gazing out over the Iyo-nada Sea, capturing both serenity and sorrow through its composition.

Introduction

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
