The story and preview images for Episode 4 of the TV anime This Monster Wants to Eat Me (JP: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし) have been revealed. This episode will air on Thursday, October 23 at 11:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 4 Story

The blood of the yokai (creatures invisible to ordinary humans) should not be visible to anyone. Yet, Miko Yashiro’s eyes can see it. Miko also reveals that she has long sensed the scent of a youkai coming from Shiori Oumi. After school, Hinako Yaotose is spending time with Miko when Shiori suddenly appears before them. Speaking in a firm tone, she warns Hinako, “Hurry… get away from that.”

Introduction

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
