Episode 10 Story

Shiori Oumi begins to share her distant past with Miko Yashiro. She tells the story of a time when she once lived in a small fishing village, caring for a young child. However, after giving that child a piece of her own flesh, she was met not with gratitude, but hatred. Through this painful experience, Shiori came to understand that she was an outsider to the world, incapable of truly connecting with anyone.

Decades passed. Then she met Hinako Yaotose, and for the first time, she felt as though she had been invited into the world instead of standing outside it. As she continues recounting her memories, Shiori reveals how the feelings she developed for Hinako quietly began to grow.

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
