The preview images for Episode 12 of the TV anime This Monster Wants to Eat Me (JP: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし) have been revealed. This episode will air on Thursday, December 18 at 11:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 12 Story

Shiori finally opens up to Hinako about the moment they first met ten years ago, as well as the true nature of her wish. All Shiori ever wanted was for Hinako to stay alive. As an excuse to ensure her survival, she simply spoke the words Hinako wanted to hear. After listening to Shiori’s confession, Hinako cries out to her, telling her to leave her alone.

Introduction

A mermaid girl named Shiori suddenly appears and gently takes the hand of Hinako, who lives alone in a seaside town. She whispers softly: Hinako’s flesh and blood are said to be especially delicious, so much so that countless yokai are drawn to her.

Shiori vows to protect Hinako until she matures and reaches her “most perfect state”… and then, she promises, she will eat her.

Yet within Hinako’s heart arises a desperate thought:

“Maybe this person can grant my wish.”
