Kirio Fanclub is set to premiere in April 2026
The anime is based on the one way romantic comedy manga by Chikyu no Osakana Pon chan, which was serialized in COMIC Ruelle published by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha from 2022 to 2024. The story centers on high school girls Aimi Miyoshi and Nami Sometani, whose unstoppable fantasies and feelings revolve around their classmate Ken Kirio.

Aimi and Nami
The original manga ranked 6th in the Women’s Edition of “This Manga Is Amazing 2024” and 10th in the Women’s Edition of “This Manga Is Amazing 2025,” marking two consecutive years in the top ten. Even after the manga concluded, it has continued to gain popularity, leading to a live action drama adaptation in April 2025 that received the Galaxy Award Encouragement Prize in the Television category.

Aimi and Nami
The first promotional video features extensive anime footage and includes voice lines from Mitsuru Manda voiced by Yuya Hirose, Hayato Momose voiced by Jin Ogasawara, Satsuki Muraoka voiced by Ayasa Ito, and Seira Tashiro voiced by Fuka Izumi. Although Ken Kirio, voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara, appeared in earlier teaser visuals without dialogue, this PV marks the first reveal of his spoken lines.

Comments from the Cast

Yuya Hirose as Mitsuru Manda
“I am Yuy Hirose, and I will be voicing Mitsuru Manda. I was truly happy to play him because his hidden emotions are so powerful, and I really love the way he connects with others in his own way. The original work is incredibly entertaining, and its dialogue and sense of wording are outstanding. I spent a lot of time 고민 about how to approach the lines when bringing them to life through sound. Many of the cast members are close in age, so the recording sessions were lively and enjoyable. Please look forward to seeing how Mitsuru interacts with the girls and with Kirio.”

■Jin Ogasawara as Hayato Momose
“What exactly is youth? Even now, I would not dare say I fully understand it, but during the recording period for this series, I found myself thinking every week that this might be what it meant. A series of ordinary conversations and seemingly insignificant choices gradually take on meaning for the characters, even if life never neatly ties everything together. Still, time spent with people you care about becomes cherished memories. This masterpiece portrays such beautiful days through an honestly unhinged sense of comedy. I am deeply honored to have been part of it.”

Hayato Momose
■Ayasa Ito as Satsuki Muraoka
“I was completely absorbed by the fast paced dialogue and unexpected perspectives of Aimi and Nami as I read the original manga. I laughed so much, but the charm of this work goes beyond just humor. Satsuki is friendly, popular, and truly embodies the spirit of a high school student living her youth to the fullest. It was a joy to perform, and I hope this anime brings smiles and a bit of happiness to everyone’s daily lives.”

Satsuki Muraoka
■Fuka Izumi as Seira Tashiro
“I am Fuka Izumi, and I will be playing Seira Tashiro. I never imagined I would feel this strongly that being a devoted fan all my life was worth it. Seira is full of love, energy, and initiative. For those discovering the story through the anime for the first time, please pay attention to her role and actions. I have loved Chikyu no Osakana Pon chan’s works since my student days, so being cast, especially as a character that feels like a distilled version of my own youth, is truly moving. I am very excited for the broadcast and hope everyone enjoys it.”
