The My Hero Academia anime series reached its conclusion after 9 years and 8 months with the broadcast of its final episode, marking the end of a long running journey for fans around the world.

The television anime My Hero Academia, commonly known as HeroAca, concluded with Episode 11 of My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON, the 170th episode overall, titled “My Hero Academia.” The episode aired on December 13 on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV network during its regular Saturday evening time slot.
On the same day, a special marathon screening event titled “My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON ULTRA SCREENING” was held in Tokyo, where fans gathered to celebrate the finale together with the cast.
The event featured appearances by Daiki Yamashita, the voice of Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as well as Nobuhiko Okamoto as Katsuki Bakugo, Ayane Sakura as Ochaco Uraraka, Kaito Ishikawa as Tenya Iida, Marina Inoue as Momo Yaoyorozu, Tasuku Hatanaka as Denki Kaminari, Kenta Miyake as All Might, and Kouki Uchiyama as Tomura Shigaraki.
Daiki Yamashita Reflects on Nearly a Decade with the Series

During the event, the cast shared behind the scenes stories from the recording sessions and reflected on nearly a decade of memories tied to the series. In his final address, Daiki Yamashita delivered an emotional message to the audience.
He stated that watching the final episode of My Hero Academia together with everyone made the day incredibly special. Yamashita shared that he had spent more than half of his voice acting career running alongside this series and expressed deep gratitude for having encountered it. He said that because of My Hero Academia, he was able to connect with such a wonderful cast, staff, and audience, and that the series became a bridge linking him to so many people.
Yamashita also spoke about the themes of One For All, saying that he felt the spirit of the series had been broken apart and spread across the world, much like the events involving Tomura Shigaraki and Tenko Shimura. He expressed hope that those feelings would continue to inspire people to reach out and help others in need, encouraging fans to embody the values they received from My Hero Academia at their own pace.
The event concluded with the entire cast joining together to shout the iconic phrase, “Plus Ultra,” bringing the celebration to a powerful close.
