The highly anticipated anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2, set to premiere in January 2026, has unveiled a brand-new main visual highlighting both the current and former adventurer parties. This new visual will be adapted into various merchandise. Additionally, during the special recap screening Frieren Season 1 Special Screening: Memories of the Journey on September 26 and 27 in Japan, fans attending Chapter 1 “Departure Arc” will receive a die-cut sticker featuring Frieren and Himmel taken from the newly released visual.

The anime is based on the manga Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. The story is set after the Demon King has been defeated, following the elf mage Frieren as she embarks on new adventures with her companions in a world without the Hero. Blending heartfelt drama, memorable lines, spectacular battles of magic and swords, and moments of humor, the series has captivated a wide readership. It won the Manga Taisho 2021 Grand Prize, has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation, and was adapted into a TV anime that aired from September 2023 to March 2024.
Season 1 concluded with Frieren, Fern, and Stark moving toward their ultimate destination, Aureole, the resting place of souls. Season 2, beginning in January 2026, will adapt the story from Chapter 61, included in Volume 7 of the manga.
