On the 22nd local time, MARVEL updated their X account to announce a new comic, 'Ultraman X Avengers,' where Tsuburaya Productions' Ultraman crosses over with MARVEL's superhero team, the Avengers.

There has been a MARVEL Comics version of the 'Ultraman' project, with three works released so far, including the first installment, 'THE RISE OF ULTRAMAN' (Japanese version titled 'ザ・ライズ・オブ・ウルトラマン').

In 2022, during the world's largest anime event, 'Anime Expo 2022,' it was announced that a "crossover project" was in the works, bringing MARVEL heroes into the MARVEL Comics version of the 'Ultraman' universe. Concept art featuring Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and other MARVEL heroes battling Ultraman kaiju was also revealed.

MARVEL's official X account announced, "Japan's greatest hero teams up with Earth's mightiest heroes," and conveyed that the new comic 'Ultraman X Avengers' would be released in August this year.
