"ULTRAMAN ARC" is a continuation of the "Ultraman" universe, designed to inspire children's imagination and serve as a bridge to a hopeful and bright future. It introduces a hero who, alongside the protagonist with a rich imagination named Yuma, becomes a beacon of light from a distant galaxy to Earth. Together, they transform into the new Ultraman hero, "ULTRAMAN ARC," battling imminent threats to protect humanity and the future of the planet.

Yuma transforms into "ULTRAMAN ARC" by using a hexahedral object known as the "Arc Cube," which harbors the power of the messenger of light, fitted into the mystical transformation device "Arc Arizer."

Up-and-coming actor Yuki Totsuka, age 24, portrays the protagonist Yuma Tobi, a newbie researcher at the Monster Disaster Science Investigation Institute, also known as "SKIP," which aims to prevent monster disasters. Yuma, loved by the townspeople for his kind and straightforward nature, rushes headlong into his starring role in this series, armed with his father's motto, "Run, Yuma!"

The series marks the directorial debut of Takamitsu Tsujimoto, known for his work on "Ultraman X" and contributions to the New Generation Ultraman series. Tsujimoto, celebrated for his passionate depiction of miniatures and monsters and a style that brings a classical warmth, takes on the role of main director for the first time.

As the New Generation Ultraman's precursor, "Ultraman Zero," celebrates its 15th anniversary, the summer of 2024 will mark a milestone year with the premiere of "ULTRAMAN ARC."

Synopsis

In a town named Hoshimoto City, a giant object called "Monohorn," which stands out on Shishio Mountain, is actually a monster's horn that has been stuck there since an incident 16 years ago. This incident, known as "K-DAY," where monsters appeared worldwide, led to monster disasters becoming a part of everyday life. Japan's Earth Defense Force deals with these monsters through military force, while the Monster Disaster Science Investigation Institute, "SKIP," focuses on preventing and mitigating these disasters through scientific investigation and evacuation guidance. Yuma, who miraculously survived an attack by the space beast Monogelos during a childhood camping trip, chooses to study monster biology, aspiring to help others who have suffered like him.

New Hero: ULTRAMAN ARC

Yuma transforms into "ULTRAMAN ARC" by unleashing his imaginative power, merging with the messenger of light "Lution" from a distant galaxy. His form resembles a hero Yuma imagined as a child, transforming with the "Arc Arizer," a device similar to the "transformation tool" sketch he drew back then. Standing 48 meters tall and weighing 32,000 tons, ULTRAMAN ARC's finishing move is the "Arc Finalize," unleashed by crossing his hands.

Protagonist: Yuma Tobi (Yuma Hize)

The 23-year-old protagonist who transforms into ULTRAMAN ARC. As a rookie researcher at SKIP's Hoshimoto City branch, his direct and kind-hearted nature often leads him to act without thinking ahead, especially when it's for the sake of others. Driven by his difficult past and a desire to help those suffering from monster disasters, he joins SKIP, armed with extensive monster knowledge and specialized detection equipment. "Run, Yuma!" serves as his guiding principle.
