The festival "KING SUPER LIVE 2024" hosted by King Records, was held on May 11 and 12 at K Arena Yokohama, attracting approximately 35,000 attendees over the two days.

This event, featuring artists, voice actors, and content affiliated with KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE / SONIC BLADE, started with a performance at Saitama Super Arena in 2015. It continued with a spin-off project at Nippon Budokan in 2017 (with three young female voice actress artists), a performance at Tokyo Dome in 2018, and its first overseas expansion in Shanghai and Taiwan. This year's event marked the first in-person festival in six years, with 29 artists performing 100 songs over two days, embodying the history and future of anisong nurtured by King Records.

Day 1 began with Nana Mizuki, a top runner in the voice acting industry, declaring the opening of "KING SUPER LIVE 2024" with enthusiasm, "Are you ready to unleash all your pent-up feelings? Let's make it an incredibly hot night! KING SUPER LIVE 2024 begins now!"

Sumire Uesaka, an event regular, appeared in a Chinese & Lolita-style outfit, energizing the audience with songs like "Bon Kyu Bon wa Kare no Mono". She expressed her excitement about the Day 1 lineup, calling it a night that would cleanse the souls of old-school otaku.

Sōichirō Hoshi, who released a mini-album celebrating his 30th anniversary as a voice actor last year, performed on both days, singing "Shining Tears," a staple of KING SUPER LIVE, and exciting the audience with iconic Gundam lines "Ikimasu!".

Day 1 featured legendary voice actors/artists, starting with Chihiro Yonekura, who debuted with the opening theme song "Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite" from the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team" in 1996. Suara performed "Musouka," the opening theme of the TV anime "Utawarerumono," which she released as her debut song in 2006. Akira Asakura sang "DREAMS," the theme song for "After War Gundam X," filling fans with nostalgia through iconic anisongs.

Mariko Kouda, in a mini-skirt outfit, performed her debut song from 1994 with the same voice as back then, prompting calls of "Hai! Hai!" from the audience. Following her, Hekiru Shiina sang her representative song "Akai Hana - You're gonna change to the flower," receiving applause for her overwhelming vocal performance. Masami Okui, dressed in a red dress, captivated the audience with her powerful singing and songs like "Rinbu-revolution."

Yukari Tamura, participating in KING SUPER LIVE for the first time since 2015, wrapped up her stage with songs like "You & Me," joined by Yui Horie for a performance of "Koi no Tenshi Maiorite" by their unit "Yamato Nadeshiko," creating a memorable moment.

Hiroko Moriguchi commented on the nostalgic setlist, hoping it would be a rewarding night for everyone who has overcome various challenges. Her songs, including the opening theme "Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," gently embraced the audience with her comforting voice.

Yoko Takahashi made a grand entrance from above on a gondola, singing "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" in a white outfit, resembling a descending goddess. Accompanied by dancers, her stage was overwhelming, and the audience was thrilled by her evolving performance.

Angela headlined Day 1, performing their debut song "Brilliant Road to Tomorrow," inspired by Yoko Takahashi's "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," and uniting the audience with their hit song "Sidonia." Angela's short but intense and enjoyable performance showcased their true essence.

The collaborative stage of KING SUPER LIVE was also a highlight. Shouta Aoi and Hiroki Nanami sang "Preserved Roses" by Nana Mizuki and T.M.Revolution, swapping male and female parts and mesmerizing the audience with their power. Sumire Uesaka and Yui Horie performed "Tenshi no Yubikiri," enjoying the performance with their penlights. Tamura and Mizuki sang two songs from their collaboration in the "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" series, with Tamura taking Mizuki's extended hand, evoking memories of the anime.

Day 2 started with Mamoru Miyano, King's entertainer. His performance of "EXCITING!" included a surprising 45-second still pose, with the audience filling the venue with calls of "Mamoru!" He commented on the lineup, saying, "Today's lineup will blow everyone's mind!" Miyano's intense and exciting stage united the audience. In a collaborative stage, he performed "Kanon," "Shine," and "Orphe" with Shouta Aoi and Yuma Uchida, showcasing the camaraderie among King's artists.

Aimi impressed the audience with her latest song "Meritocracy" while playing the guitar. In a collaborative stage with atsuko and Kanoerana, she performed the theme song "Annoying! San-san Week!" from the anime "My Senpai is Annoying," creating a fun and lively atmosphere that transcended the boundaries of voice acting, artistry, and musicianship.

New solo artist Shoya Chiba performed "Blessing" with his guitar, while Kanoerana commented on the large crowd and entertained with her impressive performance. Saji shared the story of their previous band and performed "Tsubasa," filling the venue with their emotional presence. Hiroki Nanami performed her first anime tie-up song "It's My Soul" against a backdrop of blazing flames, capturing the audience's attention with her intense expressions on the big screen.

Day 2 featured many next-generation voice actors, character content, singers, and Vsingers, offering a lineup that showcased the "future" compared to Day 1's "history." The characters from "Hypnosis Mic-Division Rap Battle- 3DCG LIVE From HYPED-UP 02" appeared on the big screen, receiving cheers from the audience with their rapid rapping.

The "Seven Charismatic Voice Actors" performed "Mecha Mecha Charisma" and "Charisma Jamboree," delivering a surreal and humorous performance that captivated the audience.

The unit "RISE," formed from the anime "Extreme Hearts" and featuring voice actors Ruriko Noguchi, Miho Okasaki, Kana Yuuki, Ayaka Fukuhara, and Ari Ozawa, performed on the center stage in costumes recreating their anime outfits. They practiced hard for this day and received warm cheers and applause from fans for their performances of "Daisuki Dayo tte Sakebunda" and the ending theme "SUNRISE (ver.RISE)."

Vsinger HACHI, who made her major debut from King Records, performed from the vision screen. TsuruShima Anna, whose face is shrouded in mystery, asked the audience for handclaps with a delighted voice, as the venue was bathed in pink.

Solo performances included Miho Okasaki performing "Kokoro Travel" from a floating door set, showcasing her impressive dance moves in collaboration with her idol, Nana Mizuki, on "DISCOTHEQUE," her debut song.

Shouta Aoi captivated the audience with his overwhelming performances of "Eclipse" and "EVOLVE." He commented on his position within the label, realizing he now had many junior colleagues. Aoi also joined angela on stage to perform the collaborative song "Hare Nochi Hallelujah!"

Yuma Uchida, who commented that he also had junior colleagues now, performed "Hope" while lying down, captivating fans with his powerful live performance. Uchida, a self-proclaimed otaku, confessed his love for "Toradora!" Horie, who enchanted many fans as part of "Yamato Nadeshiko" the previous day, performed a dance performance on a moving slide stage with four dancers, showcasing her presence as a face of King.

Inori Minase, known for her visual performances in her tours, captivated the audience with songs like "Scrap Art" and "Iolite." Her collaborative stage with Nana Mizuki, singing "Glorious Break," was a delightful surprise. Despite her nervousness, Minase gave her all, with Mizuki watching her like a proud mother.

Nana Mizuki headlined Day 2, starting with "METANOIA -Aufwachen Form-," which prompted handclaps from the audience. Her latest song "ADRENALIZED" featured fire pillars and fireballs, heating up the venue even more. She commented on wanting to keep the anime and anisong-loving spirit burning. The event concluded with "ETERNAL BLAZE," with the entire venue jumping together.

From the grand opening to 100 songs over 10 hours, it was a legendary event. Day 1 ended with everyone singing "Give a Reason," and Day 2 concluded with "Shangri-La." Atsuko from angela remarked, "This K Arena is our Shangri-La," and KATSU, overwhelmed with emotion, burst into tears. The event was a grand finale with everyone singing together, feeling the legacy being passed from seniors to juniors over the two days.
