The legendary voice actor unit "Yamato Nadeshiko" made a surprise appearance at a live event.

The first day of the "KING SUPER LIVE 2024," a major festival organized by King Records, was held at K Arena Yokohama on the 11th. The voice actor unit "Yamato Nadeshiko," composed of Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura, made a surprise appearance, performing live for the first time in 21 years, which astonished the audience. It's noteworthy that the unit has not been active since 2003 and has not officially disbanded, thus this was not a reunion or comeback.

King Records, known for its history in leading anime songs, brought together an impressive lineup of artists who performed a series of both classic hits and the latest anime theme songs, stirring up excitement among fans of all ages at this grand festival.

On this day, the legendary voice actor unit "Yamato Nadeshiko" performed. Although Horie and Tamura were initially announced as solo performers, they surprised the audience by appearing together as a unit and sang the insert song "Koi no Tenshi Maiorite" from the TV anime "Love Hina Christmas Special Silent Eve."

As soon as they began singing, the audience erupted into cheers so loud they nearly split the air, and the venue was enveloped in the warmth of numerous fans.

The official social media announced, "After the performance, in addition to the regular lineup, Yamato Nadeshiko's 'Mou Hitori no Watashi' and 'Merry Merrily' will also be available for purchase", and "All songs by Yamato Nadeshiko will be available for streaming and download starting at 00:00 on May 12th (Sunday). Stay tuned!".

"Yamato Nadeshiko," formed by Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura, originated from their radio show and debuted in 2000 with the singles "Mou Hitori no Watashi" and "Merry Merrily." They were active from 1999 to 2003 and, although they never officially disbanded, they had not been active since their tour in 2003.
