At the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 held on the 25th at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa’s Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Too Many Losing Heroines! won the Best Slice of Life Anime award. Representing the series was Hikaru Tono, who voices Anna Yanami, and she shared her thoughts during the press interview following the ceremony.

Tono appeared in a sheer navy blue dress and, when asked about her reaction to the win, she spoke with heartfelt emotion: “This story is packed full of youth. I think everyone has moments they look back on and think, ‘Yeah, I’ve been there.’ That feeling is condensed beautifully into this anime. To know that it resonated with people around the world—maybe they’ve felt the same way at some point—makes me incredibly happy.”

She continued, “Of course, I’m speaking on behalf of the production today, but it’s thanks to all the cast and crew involved in creating this anime that I’m able to stand here. I’m sincerely grateful—and truly overjoyed.”

Recalling moments from the recording sessions, she said, “The scenes depicting the raw, frustrating emotions and inner conflicts of high school life were ones we all poured our hearts into. We were constantly discussing what would convey those feelings best. It was a passionate and sincere recording environment.”

She also mentioned being surprised by the audience's reactions: “Some of the most talked-about lines or moments weren't necessarily the ones we tried to make especially funny or dramatic during recording. But after the episodes aired, people really loved them. It made me realize just how varied viewer interpretations can be. I wasn’t expecting that, and it’s something I’ve really come to appreciate.”
