The latest promotional video for Season 2 of the TV anime Dandadan—which premieres on July 3—has been officially released, unveiling dramatic new scenes and the new opening theme song, “Kakumei Dochu (革命道中)” (Revolution on the Road) by Aina the End.

The newly released PV begins with a sinister scene featuring a mysterious man in briefs radiating an ominous aura and speaking with deep resentment. It goes on to show Jiji sympathizing with Evil Eye, only to be scolded by Turbo-Granny. Momo gets punched by the brief-wearing man, while Okarun engages in an intense battle with him.

In addition to this confrontation, the trailer also features never-before-seen footage, including Momo wearing a maid outfit and an enigmatic monster that appears to resemble a classical musician. These glimpses into new episodes have only heightened expectations for the upcoming season.

Later in the video, viewers get a preview of the new opening theme “Kakumei Dochu,” performed by Aina the End. Speaking about the song, she commented:

“I poured into this song the emotions of someone running forward, fighting to protect what they hold dear, all while carrying a sentimental longing. It reflects the inner worlds of Momo and Okarun and is also meant to give courage to those feeling uncertain. I absolutely love this song.”

“Turbo-Granny and the Gals Are Coming to Chayamachi!” Event in Osaka

In June, a special talk event titled “TV Anime ‘Dandadan’—Turbo-Granny and the Gals Are Coming to Chayamachi!!” will be held at the Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2025 in Osaka.

Scheduled to appear are Shion Wakayama (voice of Momo), Mayumi Tanaka (Turbo-Granny), Kaori Maeda (Miiko), and Miyu Tomita (Muuko). For Maeda and Tomita, this will be their first appearance at a Dandadan event, making it an exciting gathering of the “Granny and Gals” in Osaka’s Chayamachi district.

Based on the hit manga currently serialized on Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha), Dandadan follows high school girl Momo Ayase, born into a family of spiritual mediums, and her occult-obsessed classmate Okarun (Ken Takakura), as they take on supernatural phenomena in this occult-themed battle fantasy and coming-of-age story. The unique premise has gained massive popularity, surpassing 10 million copies in circulation. Its first TV anime adaptation aired from October to December 2024.
