Episode 7 of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (Gundam GQuuuuuuX), titled Machu’s Rebellion, will premiere on Japanese television at 12:29 AM JST on May 21. A preview for Episode 6 has also been released.

In Episode 6, Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) realized that their hideout had been exposed by Annqi, making it inevitable that she would have to part ways with Shuji Ito. In the preview for Episode 7, it’s implied that Machu and Nyaan are developing a plan to avoid separation and make their way to Earth together with Shuji.

The footage also reveals the appearance of a massive mobile suit, strongly resembling the Psycho Gundam, whose presence was hinted at in the previous episode. This unit is seen launching attacks in what appears to be Side 6, suggesting that the conflict is escalating from clan battles to genuine, deadly mobile suit warfare.

From the intense expression on Machu’s face, Episode 7 is expected to feature the most ferocious battle yet. What kind of plan are Machu and her team putting into action? What move will Challia Bull, whose behavior remains increasingly suspicious, make next?

The episode also introduces a new pilot—likely a cyber-enhanced human from the Murasame Institute—who seems to be at the controls of the Psycho Gundam. With these developments, GQuuuuuuX enters a dramatic new phase, heightening anticipation for what lies ahead.

About Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Set in a space colony, the series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a peaceful life until she meets Nyaan, a girl displaced by war. This encounter thrusts Amate into the underground world of Clumbattles, illegal mobile suit duels.

Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and soon finds herself in relentless combat. As the story unfolds, she crosses paths with a mysterious Gundam—pursued by both the Space Forces and the police—and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji Ito, signaling the dawn of a new era.

This latest Gundam installment is a collaborative project between Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (the studio behind all previous Gundam works). Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for directing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, helms the project.

The series is written by Yoji Enokido, with mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita. The voice cast includes:
