The latest entry in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, has been announced as a participant in Anime Expo 2025, North America’s largest anime event, taking place July 3–6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

On July 3, a special panel event will be held featuring an all-star lineup including director Kazuya Tsurumaki and voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa, who plays Amate Yuzuriha (MACHU). Attendees can look forward to an exciting program packed with a talk show and live music performances.

The entire event will also be live-streamed on the official Gundam YouTube channel, “Gundam Channel.”

In addition, Gundam GQuuuuuuX will also join Japan Expo 2025, Europe’s largest showcase of Japanese culture, taking place July 3–6 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.

The July 6 panel at Japan Expo will feature Kazuya Tsurumaki, series composer and scriptwriter Yoji Enoto, and design and storyboard artist Mahiro Maeda, who will share insights into the production of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX and explore the world of Gundam.

Both events will also present a special screening of the theatrical preview edition, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.

About Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Set in a space colony, the series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a peaceful life until she meets Nyaan, a girl displaced by war. This encounter thrusts Amate into the underground world of Clumbattles, illegal mobile suit duels.

Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and soon finds herself in relentless combat. As the story unfolds, she crosses paths with a mysterious Gundam—pursued by both the Space Forces and the police—and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji Ito, signaling the dawn of a new era.

This latest Gundam installment is a collaborative project between Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (the studio behind all previous Gundam works). Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for directing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, helms the project.

The series is written by Yoji Enokido, with mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita. The voice cast includes:
