The sixth episode of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (Gundam GQuuuuuuX), titled The Plot to Assassinate Kycilia, will premiere on Japanese television at 12:29 AM JST on May 14. A preview for Episode 6 has also been released.

Following Nyaan’s surprising shift in tone and behavior in Episode 5, the story picks up with her reflections on past events. The episode also reveals Shuji Ito’s hideout and shows what appears to be Kycilia Zabi without her signature mask—creating an episode packed with major developments. The shocking subtitle, The Plot to Assassinate Kycilia, has already stirred speculation.

Machu (Amate Yuzuriha) seems to be developing complex feelings toward Nyaan, but Nyaan herself doesn’t seem to fully grasp why. The visuals include suggestive cuts that reflect the current emotional and psychological distance between the two.

After growing closer in previous episodes, their relationship now faces a new tension. How will the events of Episode 5 reshape their dynamic?

About Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Set in a space colony, the series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student living a peaceful life until she meets Nyaan, a girl displaced by war. This encounter thrusts Amate into the underground world of Clumbattles, illegal mobile suit duels.

Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and soon finds herself in relentless combat. As the story unfolds, she crosses paths with a mysterious Gundam—pursued by both the Space Forces and the police—and its enigmatic pilot, Shuji Ito, signaling the dawn of a new era.

Directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki, Created by Studio Khara × Sunrise

This latest Gundam installment is a collaborative project between Studio Khara (known for the Evangelion series) and Sunrise (the studio behind all previous Gundam works). Kazuya Tsurumaki, known for directing Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, helms the project.

The series is written by Yoji Enokido, with mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita. The voice cast includes:
