Fujishima commented on X, “It was difficult but fun to draw three characters from different worlds together.”

The post introduced the illustration with the message, “Celebrating the 30th anniversary year of Tales! Here’s a brand-new commemorative artwork by character designer Kosuke Fujishima.”
It also announced that the illustration will be displayed at the “Tales of 30th ANNIVERSARY ART Exhibition” to be held at Namba Marui starting Friday, May 16. Fans are encouraged to visit the venue to see this special artwork in person.

The featured characters in the illustration include Cress from Tales of Phantasia, Luke from Tales of the Abyss, and Sorey from Tales of Zestiria—representing protagonists from the first, 10th, and 20th anniversary titles, respectively.

Fans responded enthusiastically, with comments such as:
“The main characters from year 1, 10, and 20! Sorey feels fresh in Fujishima’s style, and Cress gives off that signature stability.”
“The way Fujishima-sensei draws the heroes now is great… You can see how his style has subtly changed over the years, and that’s what makes it so special.”
“Uooooaaaahhh!”
“Tales of Phantasia was my beginning.”
