The anime Made in Abyss is set to receive its first official smartphone game, titled Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey (Literal Translation, JP: 度し難い不思議な旅), as announced by Avex Pictures on May 5. As of now, no official release information has been disclosed for regions outside of Japan.

Made in Abyss, originally created by Akihito Tsukushi, tells the story of cave raiders who brave the mysterious and deadly depths of the Abyss—a massive, unexplored vertical pit said to be the last unexplored frontier of humanity. The series is renowned for its striking contrast between its whimsical art style and its harrowing, emotional storytelling.

The anime’s first season aired from July to September 2017, followed by the feature film Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul in January 2020. The second season, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, aired from July to September 2022. A sequel was announced in 2023, and fans continue to await the next chapter in the saga.
