"The popular TV anime "Demon Slayer" will begin broadcasting its new series, "Demon Slayer: Pillar Training Arc," on Fuji TV starting May 12th. To commemorate this, a countdown visual was released on the official X account.

On X, it was posted that "TV Anime 'Demon Slayer: Pillar Training Arc' broadcasting in '2 days'", and a visual of the glaring Shinazugawa Sanemi was revealed. The "Demon Slayer: Pillar Training Arc" covers episodes from Volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, depicting a story where Tanjiro and his friends receive training from the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Pillars, to become stronger. "Demon Slayer" is based on the manga of the same name serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, a popular work that has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. Set in the Taisho era, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy whose family was killed by demons. To turn his demon-transformed sister Nezuko back into a human and to avenge his family, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and embarks on a journey.

The first season of the anime was broadcast from April to September 2019, becoming a societal phenomenon. It was followed by the blockbuster movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train," which was released in October 2020 and grossed over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," which continues the movie's story, aired from December 2021, and the third season "Swordsmith Village Arc" aired in April 2023."
