On X, the announcement reads, "3 days until the broadcast of the 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc'," along with the release of a visual depicting Obanai Iguro in combat mode.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc" covers episodes from Volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, where Tanjiro and his comrades receive training from the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira, to become stronger.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga of the same name, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, and has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation, marking it as a highly popular series.
Set in the Taisho era, the story centers on a young boy, Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons. In order to turn his demon-transformed sister, Nezuko, back into a human and to avenge his family, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps and embarks on a journey.
The first season of the anime aired from April to September 2019, igniting its popularity and turning it into a societal phenomenon. The follow-up movie, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," released in October 2020, was a massive success, grossing over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," which continues the story from the movie, was broadcast from December 2021. Subsequently, the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," began airing in April 2023.
