Rion Enomoto finds out that Yuu Natsume stayed over at Himari Inuzuka’s house. Jealous, she declares that she’ll stay over too, catching Yuu off guard. His friend Shinji Makishima coldly tells him to just do what he wants.

In the end, Rion ends up visiting Yuu’s house for a study session. To Yuu’s surprise, she turns out to be the second-best student in their grade. As the two study alone in his room, the scent of a potted cherry sage plant wafts through the air—prompting Rion to make a bold move that stuns Yuu.

In a quiet countryside middle school, a boy and a girl vow to be friends forever. Sharing a dream, they become inseparable—“shin’yuu,” or soulmates in purpose.
