Still not on speaking terms after their fight over the accessory modeling incident, Yuu Natsume and Himari Inuzuka remain estranged. “Even best friends fight sometimes,” Yuu tells himself, trying to brush it off. But then, out of the blue, Himari declares, “I’m moving to Tokyo to become a model.” Shocked and hurt by the decision made without even a conversation, Yuu lashes out—and ends up breaking Himari’s beloved choker. Tearfully, Himari runs away. And just like that, their rift becomes irreversible…

In a quiet countryside middle school, a boy and a girl vow to be friends forever. Sharing a dream, they become inseparable—“shin’yuu,” or soulmates in purpose.

Without any romantic developments, two years pass. Himari Inuzuka, a cheerful and outgoing girl who's never experienced first love, and Yu Natsume, a plant-loving boy who makes flower accessories, remain close friends in their private high school gardening club.
