Universal Studios Japan announced that Universal Fan Fest Nights, a limited-time event originating from Japan, has officially made its U.S. debut. The event opened on April 25 at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
To celebrate the launch of Universal Fan Fest Nights, a special opening ceremony was held at Universal Studios Hollywood. Fans, eagerly awaiting the event’s start, gathered in excitement, filling the venue with energy as the festivities began.

Universal Fan Fest Nights is a special event held on select weekend nights from April 25 to May 18 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Inspired by the success of Universal Cool Japan—a Universal Studios Japan initiative showcasing Japanese entertainment brands—the event offers guests the chance to fully immerse themselves in beloved worlds, mainly through nighttime attractions.

This new event brings together legendary, globally popular titles, offering full-body immersion experiences through character greetings, Japanese theater-style show attractions, and the availability of original goods and food items, previously exclusive to Universal Studios Japan. It’s designed to let fans from around the world celebrate and connect over their shared passions.

ONE PIECE and Jujutsu Kaisen Take Center Stage

At ONE PIECE at Universal Fan Fest Nights, a pirate-themed area adorned with flags brought the world of ONE PIECE to life. Fans dressed in ONE PIECE cosplay costumes gathered, transforming the area into a vibrant pirate village. Exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood, the character greeting event ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Gathering featured appearances by Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. Fans erupted in joy as the Straw Hat Pirates appeared before their eyes, taking commemorative photos and forging friendships with fellow enthusiasts, creating a festival-like atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Jujutsu Kaisen at Universal Fan Fest Nights brought the smash-hit anime to life in the United States for the first time. Originally a major success at Universal Studios Japan in 2022, this theater-show attraction features an original storyline, high-quality visuals, and immersive special effects like vibrations and splashes. As the fierce battles between sorcerers and curses unfold right before guests’ eyes, attendees are instantly drawn into the Jujutsu Kaisen universe.
For a limited time, U.S. fans can experience the ultra-realistic world of Jujutsu Kaisen, which was previously only available at Universal Studios Japan.
