Takara Tomy has announced a new addition to its iconic Plarail toy train line: the Plarail Harry Potter Hogwarts Express, inspired by the beloved Harry Potter film series. The product is set for release on July 19, with a suggested retail price of ¥7,700 (tax included). (Note: Available exclusively at stores in Japan.)

Designed to evoke the magical atmosphere of the Hogwarts Express and the iconic Platform 9¾, the playset combines classic Plarail charm with intricate detailing. The steam locomotive, which plays a key role in transporting students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, has been faithfully recreated with careful attention to emblems, molds, and color schemes while featuring Plarail's signature stylized design.

The set also includes the Platform 9¾ station, along with Plakids (figures) of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Accessories like Hedwig perched on a luggage trolley and a station clock pointing to the train's departure time of 11 a.m. add to the immersive experience. Gray-colored straight and stop rails are also included and are compatible with Plarail’s signature blue tracks, allowing for both display and play.

With its meticulous craftsmanship, the Plarail Hogwarts Express invites fans to step into the world of Harry Potter and recreate memorable scenes from the films through imaginative play.
