"Anyway, I went to the Expo," Horii wrote. He went on to express his awe at seeing the Moon rock at the U.S. Pavilion, noting, "It was truly overwhelming—it's been 55 years since I last saw it." His nostalgic reaction reflects the significance of this rare artifact, originally brought back during the Apollo missions.
Horii also gave a glimpse into his expo experience, sharing some lighter notes: "I had a bowl of ramen for 1,200 yen. It was just regular, but tasty. And I walked a whopping 17,000 steps today. I'm exhausted."
The post quickly garnered enthusiastic responses from fans, many expressing wishes for a Dragon Quest presence at the Expo. Comments included:
"We need a Dragon Quest pavilion too!"
"It'd be awesome if there were Dragon Quest Walk spots inside the Expo."
"Sounds like an Expo Walk!"
"This place seems perfect for Dragon Quest Walk!"
The lighthearted banter reflects the enduring love for the franchise and how fans often imagine integrating it into real-world experiences. Horii's post not only shared his personal impressions but also reignited dreams of seeing Dragon Quest more prominently represented on the global stage.
そんなわけで、万博にいって来ました。55年ぶりに見る月の石は、やっぱり圧巻でしたよ。1200円のラーメンを食べましたが普通に美味しかったです。ちなみに今日だけで、なんと17000歩も歩きました。疲れた? pic.twitter.com/purW1CMosC
