The new anime New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT will begin broadcasting and streaming this July, 14 and a half years after the original series aired its finale in December 2010.

The newly released promotional video introduces two new characters—angelic brothers sent from heaven to Daten City. Junya Enoki voices the older brother Polyester, while Yuto Uemura plays the younger brother Polyurethane.

Returning cast members include Arisa Ogasawara as Panty and Mariya Ise as Stocking, reprising their roles from the original series. Other returning cast members include Kōji Ishii (Garterbelt), Hiroyuki Yoshino (Brief), Takashi Nakamura (Chuck), and Yuka Komatsu (Scanty).

Joining the cast for the new series are Akeno Watanabe as Kneesocks and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Fastener.

The anime is being produced by studio TRIGGER, known for Kill la Kill, PROMARE, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The series is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, who also directed the original series. Music will once again be provided by ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo) and TeddyLoid.

Originally aired from October to December 2010 and produced by GAINAX, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt followed two fallen angels—Panty and Stocking—as they fought ghostly threats born from human desire in the corrupt city of Daten. Despite their divine mission, the two were anything but angelic in behavior, leading to chaotic and absurd misadventures.
