A new anime, "New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT," has been announced, marking the first new production in 14 years since the original "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" aired in 2010. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and staff information were released.

The animation will be produced by TRIGGER, known for works like "Kill la Kill," the film "Promare," and "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners." Hiroyuki Imaishi will continue as director, having directed the original series.

Additionally, Atsushi Nishigori will return as the original character designer, and Hiromi Wakabayashi will once again handle the story. Shigeto Koyama, who designed characters for the film "Promare," Sushio, who worked on "Kill la Kill," and Masaru Sakamoto, known for his character design in the "SSSS.GRIDMAN" series and the movie "Gridman Universe," will join as character designers. Yoh Yoshinari, a prominent creator at TRIGGER, will also participate as a special specialist.

The teaser visual features Panty and Stocking along with their companions Brief, Garterbelt, and Chuck, as well as their adversaries Kneesocks, Scanty, and Fastener, all gathered together.

"Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" is an anime produced by GAINAX that aired from October to December 2010. The story is set in Daten City, which is plagued by mysterious incidents caused by ghosts preying on people's desires. Two angels, Panty and Stocking, are sent from heaven to exterminate these ghosts, but they turn out to be troublemaking dropouts. The series follows the chaotic adventures of these two angelic sisters as they combat disaster in the turbulent city of Daten.
