The original "Educational Manga: World History" series, first released in 2002, has been a beloved long-seller. The newest edition updates the format from a large hardcover to a more portable softcover, and completely refreshes the content. The content dramatizes global historical events in an engaging comic format, with each volume now expanded by 56 pages over the previous versions. The series captures the imagination with beautiful illustrations, captivating characters, and enthralling stories that make readers feel as if they are part of the epochs they are reading about. The latest high school history textbooks emphasize a "Global History" approach to understanding world history in a cross-disciplinary manner, and an "Inquiry" approach where students think about questions and search for reasons and solutions on their own. The revised series aims to meet these new educational standards by covering Western, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African histories, and also includes connections between countries through people, goods, and cultures. This is the first world history manga series to align with the new educational guidelines.
