While investigating a "curse" at the request of the Empress Dowager An, Maomao stays at Jinshi’s residence for the first time in a long while. As she listens to stories about Jinshi’s childhood in Suiren’s room, she discovers an oddly colored stone among his childhood toys stored in a trunk. This peculiar stone is said to be the "curse" placed upon the former emperor by the Empress Dowager—one that has kept his body unchanging even after death.

Determined to uncover the truth behind the late emperor’s secret and the nature of the "curse," Maomao visits the former emperor’s chamber alongside the Empress Dowager and Jinshi.

This mystery-solving entertainment follows Maomao, a pharmacist with a peculiar obsession with poisons and medicines, and Jinshi, a mysterious and handsome eunuch, as they unravel complex incidents in the imperial palace.
