The latest episode of the anime The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto), Episode 30, is set to air on February 14 at 11:30 PM (JST) as part of Nippon TV’s FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni) programming block. The episode synopsis, preview images unveiled.

Maomao’s secret activities—preparing medicine despite not being an official physician—are discovered by Shinryoku (深緑), a female court official from the palace clinic. Although she escapes punishment, Maomao is soon summoned by Shinryoku, who asks her for an unusual favor: to create medicine for a maid from the Crystal Palace (水晶宮).

Upon further inquiry, Maomao learns that the maid had been suffering from poor health for a long time and was repeatedly advised to seek medical attention. However, she has not been seen at the clinic for half a month. This sudden disappearance raises Maomao’s suspicions, especially considering the peculiar atmosphere surrounding the maids of the Crystal Palace, something she had already noticed while caring for Consort Lihua (梨花妃).

Sensing something ominous, Maomao decides to visit the Crystal Palace, only to uncover a hidden secret lurking within its walls…
