The Apothecary Diaries Anime to Host First Exhibition; Non-Credit OP Video Released
For the first time, The Apothecary Diaries anime will hold an exhibition from March 26 to April 14 at Matsuzakaya Ginza in Tokyo. The announcement comes on the same day as the premiere of the anime’s second season. A key visual featuring nine main characters, including Maomao and Jinshi, has also been revealed.
This exhibition will delve into the series' artistry with recreations of iconic scenes, video displays, and rare production materials such as original drawings, storyboards, and art settings. Fans can experience the meticulous world-building behind The Apothecary Diaries. The exhibition will later tour nationwide, visiting cities such as Fukuoka, Osaka, and Nagoya.
"Hyakka Ryouran" Non-Credit OP Video Released
The non-credit version of the second season's opening sequence, set to the theme song Hyakka Ryouran by Rira Ikuta, has been unveiled. The animation showcases Maomao's diverse expressions and integrates motifs central to the story, such as mirrors, optical illusions, and key items from each episode.
Directed by animation artist Saiku Nakata, known for works like the opening of I Parry Everything, the video presents Maomao and Jinshi’s expanding worlds through stunning visuals.
