JO1's Shoya Kimata Narrates Anime Film "Trapezium": 15-Second Trailer Released
The anime film adaptation of Kazumi Takayama’s debut novel (published by KADOKAWA), "Trapezium," set to release on May 10, features narration by Shoya Kimata of JO1, who portrays the supporting character Shoji Kudo—a character who supports the idol-aspiring protagonist.
Yu Azuma is determined to become an idol, adhering to the rules she sets for her high school life: (1) No social media, (2) No boyfriends, (3) Stay unnoticed at school, and (4) Befriend the beautiful girls from the north, south, and west schools. She attends Josho Higashi High School in the peninsula region of Josho, while planning to make friends with cute girls who attend schools to the west, south, and north.
In her journey, she meets Kurumi Taiga, a shy second-year student at Nishi Techno Industrial High School who dreams of robots and is known as "Star of the West;" Ranko Katori, a cheerful and romantic young lady from Seinan Teneritas Girls' Academy who admires Lady Ocho and is dubbed "Star of the South;" and Mika Kamei, a reserved and kind first-year student at Josho North High School who is actively involved in volunteer work and known as "Star of the North." Despite their diverse personalities and characteristics, these beautiful girls from the "East, West, South, and North" gradually deepen their relationships. As Yu Azuma pursues her dream, the dynamics among the four girls begin to subtly shift.
The newly released trailer highlights a scene where Yu Azuma, who was steadfastly pursuing her dream, starts to express doubts, saying, "I know... someone like me shouldn't become an idol." Tears are seen in the eyes of her companions, Kurumi and Mika, who have been striving together. Additionally, the trailer portrays Yu Azuma alone in a dark room, wrestling with her concerns, marking a new phase in the narrative. What could possibly be happening to these girls...?
