Yuki Kaji Recalls Grueling Recording Session for 'Attack on Titan' Final Part: "I Poured My Heart into Eren's Role"

Reflecting on the dubbing session, Kaji said, "It was probably last summer, around June, when we recorded for the final part. My child had caught a pretty bad cold, and I ended up catching it too. I wasn't in the best condition, but strangely enough, my voice managed to come out just fine on the day of the 'Attack on Titan' recording. I gave it my all, and it seems like I poured everything into that session—the next day, I couldn't speak at all," he revealed. "Somehow, my physical and mental exhaustion synced with Eren's. Looking back now, it's almost funny. It's a memory of putting everything I had into it, truly struggling in every sense."

In addition, during the event, a birthday surprise was prepared for Director Hayashi, whose birthday was that day, with a cake featuring artwork from Attack on Titan. Director Hayashi was thrilled, saying, "It was a complete coincidence, but to think it coincided with the long-awaited theatrical release..."
