Since first appearing in 1954, the monster "Godzilla" has continued to captivate and shock audiences not only in Japan but around the world. Suzuki addressed the crowd, saying, "I've gotten older, and in two more years, I'll be 90. I first joined the production of the original Godzilla when I was 19 years old."

Suzuki shared valuable stories about the original production. "I was a first-year student in the Sculpture Department at Tama Art University, and my classmate, 'Yoshio Tsuburaya,' told me, 'My uncle is making a movie called Godzilla, so why don't you go and check it out?' He wrote me a letter of introduction, and when I said I wanted a part-time job, Eiji Tsuburaya (special effects director) accepted me, saying, 'Sure, sure,'" he revealed.

He also spoke about the original Godzilla suit, which was heavy and hard to move in, leading to complaints from the actors. "The actors would get inside the suit, but it was so heavy they couldn't move. They'd say, 'We can't act like this!' but they couldn't tell the higher-ups, so they'd grab me and take their frustration out by hitting me," Suzuki said with a laugh. Director Yamazaki and others quickly added, "This was 70 years ago! It was a different time."

The hardships on the set of the kaiju special effects scenes were also discussed. "I think the actors had the hardest time. There were a lot of lights during filming, so the inside of the suit was hot. They were drenched in sweat, with water sloshing around their feet. They would say, 'Look at this!' and show it to me," Suzuki said with a wry smile.
