The first animated movie adaptation of Inio Asano's work, "Dead Dead Demon's DeDeDeDe Destruction" (abbreviated as DeDeDeDe), has released the official trailer for its sequel, which is set to open nationwide on May 24th, following the success of the first part which started showing on March 22nd.

Serialized in Shogakukan's "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" since 2014, the story begins with a massive spaceship, known as the "Mothership," suddenly appearing over Tokyo. What initially seemed a dire situation gradually becomes a normal part of everyday life, in which young girls continue to enjoy their adolescence. The manga concluded in 2022 with its 12th volume, after winning the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award for General Category and the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival Manga Division Excellence Award.

The newly released trailer kicks off with a scene of invaders falling from the sky. The unsettling atmosphere intensifies as smoke billows from the Mothership at sunset in Tokyo, and the story follows the university life of Kadode and Ontan. A new character, Keita Oba, who remained a mystery in the previous chapter, shockingly reveals, "Actually, I'm an invader."

While it appears that the trio's carefree life continues, the scene shifts dramatically to a self-defense force surrounding an armed invader, escalating into gunfire and a sudden shift in the world, with battles against the invaders and the dark turn of a former classmate, Kenichi Kohiruimaki. The earth faces a dire situation with Ontan gripping a gun-like object and asking Kadode, "What if it's my fault the world ends?" The trailer ends on this cliffhanger.

Finally unveiling the secrets of Kadode and Oran and the mystery behind the Mothership's arrival, the sequel promises a thrilling conclusion supervised by the original author, adding to the anticipation for an original ending exclusive to the movie version.
