The original version of the first opening theme of the TV anime 'ONE PIECE', titled "We Are!", has been made available for download and streaming starting today, October 20th, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the anime's premiere.

The song was the opening theme from Episode 1 to Episode 47, which aired from October 20, 1999, and was also featured as the opening for the commemorative 1000th episode. It is a beloved anime song performed by Hiroshi Kitadani, with chorus by Taeko Saito, Kumi Sasaki, and Yuko Kawai. The lyrics were written by Shoko Fujibayashi, the music was composed by Kohei Tanaka, and the arrangement was done by Takayuki Negishi.

'ONE PIECE' is an ocean adventure romance based on the manga of the same name, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. The story revolves around the legendary treasure, the "One Piece," left by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger. It follows the journey of a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who gains the special ability to stretch his body like rubber after eating the Devil Fruit known as the "Gomu Gomu no Mi." Luffy gathers his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, and sets out on an epic quest to become the Pirate King.

The manga is a popular series with over 510 million copies in circulation worldwide, and the TV anime has been airing since 1999. The 2022 movie 'ONE PIECE FILM RED' became a social phenomenon, grossing 20.34 billion yen in Japan.
