A second promotional video (PV) for the brand-new TV anime Ranma ½ (premiering on October 5) has been released, featuring the opening theme "Iinazukkyun" sung by ano.

This new video contains plenty of fresh footage from the entirely new anime, as well as the newly revealed voices of additional characters, and the debut of the opening theme "Iinazukkyun" sung by ano.

The video starts with a mood-filled scene of Ranma and Akane walking together at sunset. Following the caption, "It all began with that encounter," the tone shifts to a more playful pop font with the words "Did it begin!?" Then, a series of characters makes their appearances: Ryoga Hibiki (voiced by Koichi Yamadera), Tatewaki Kuno (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), Kodachi Kuno (voiced by Ayane Sakura), Mikado Sanzenin (voiced by Mamoru Miyano), Azusa Shiratori (voiced by Aoi Yuki), and Konatsu (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa). The video showcases each character's impactful lines paired with striking visuals.

In the middle of the video, the tone suddenly shifts to a more serious atmosphere. As fans of the original manga will recognize, Ranma’s line "Your smile is cute" gives a glimpse into the budding romance between Ranma and Akane. Immediately following this, Shampoo (voiced by Rei Sakuma) makes her entrance, and the chorus of the opening theme "Iinazukkyun" starts playing, accelerating the tempo. The video then presents a series of chaotic, comical scenes, showcasing the signature slapstick style of Ranma 1/2.

Ranma 1/2 follows the daily life of Ranma Saotome, a high school student who turns into a girl when splashed with water, and his fiancée Akane Tendo. This martial arts romantic comedy revolves around the antics and challenges they face with those around them. The original TV anime aired from 1989 to 1992, followed by theatrical films and OVAs. In 2011, a live-action drama starring Yui Aragaki as Akane was also produced.
