"Uma Musume" New Anime Set to Air Next Year - Oguri Cap Stars in with Teaser PV Released

The official live broadcast of the popular content "Uma Musume Pretty Derby," titled "Paka Live TV Vol. 44 3.5th Anniversary Summer Party!" was streamed live on the 23rd. It was announced that the new TV anime "Uma Musume Cinderella Gray" will air in 2025, and a teaser visual, PV, and commemorative illustration were unveiled.

The anime is based on the manga "Uma Musume Cinderella Gray," currently serialized in "Weekly Young Jump," which has exceeded 6 million copies in circulation. The story features Oguri Cap, the strongest Uma Musume, as the protagonist. It's a Cinderella story of youth, depicting the journey from a regional star to a central legend, focusing on the tale of a gray-haired girl who becomes known as a "monster."

This anime adaptation also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the birth of the racehorse Oguri Cap. The anime will be directed by Yu Koku Ito, with series composition by Aki Kindaichi, character design by Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki, and animation production by CygamesPictures.

"Uma Musume" is a cross-media content series that has gained popularity through its diverse media offerings, including games, manga, and anime, featuring characters inspired by real-life racehorses such as Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio.

The first season of the anime aired from April to June 2018, the second season from January to March 2021, and the third season from October to December 2023. The game was launched in February 2021, and the voice actors (CV) have also appeared in music programs.
