While Nico is thrilled to reunite with her childhood friend, Morihito has a mission to protect Nico as her familiar from a predicted calamity. With Nico's unpredictable magic causing trouble and the two teenagers living together, their challenging and mysterious magical comedy begins.
The teaser PV starts with a scene where Nico bursts through a window, interrupting Morihito as he relaxes in his living room, setting off a series of unpredictable events. The 50-second PV captures the essence of Morihito's challenging and mysterious days as he gets caught up in the trouble caused by the clumsy witch Nico.
Comments from the Cast
Rina Kawaguchi as Nico Wakatsuki
—If you could use magic, what would be the first spell you’d like to try?
I’d like to use a spell that allows me to communicate confidently with new people, like a [super-lighthearted] "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yay, yay, YEAH!" But I’m worried I might get in trouble when the magic wears off... I can already see myself sinking into despair afterward. Oh, but if I could use the spell with someone else, like the duo in the original story...! It wouldn’t be so scary if we did it together! I’m sure of it (laughs).
Ryota Suzuki as Morihito Otogi
—If you could use ogre powers, what would you use them for?
I’m really curious to know the ideal weight of dumbbells to use for just the right amount of training. Also, I’d like to try crushing stones, rocks, and even mountains with my fists.
Kohei Amasaki as Kanshi Kazamatsuri
—If you could use tengu powers, what would you do?
I’m generally not a fan of wind. It messes up my hairstyle as soon as I step outside. The stress of that is too much for me... so I’d like to control the wind to create a gentle breeze just around me. He’s also incredibly social, and if I had that power, I’d love to befriend everyone across Japan and boost the viewership ratings of the shows I’m in.
Kaito Ishikawa as Keigo Magami
—What are your thoughts on playing Keigo Magami?
While playing around where I can, I see him as a fundamentally shy character. He tends to express himself in a way that might come off as a bit much, but it’s driven by his desire to share what he believes is good. I intend to portray this inner conflict as he sometimes goes overboard trying to convey his feelings.
Tomori Kusunoki as Nemu Miyao
—What are your thoughts on playing Nemu Miyao?
I was immediately captivated by her adorable design, but I also feel sorry for her because she tends to sink into despair on her own. That’s where her charm lies, I think. I’ll do my best to capture her intense emotional swings and portray her lovable personality!
