On X, Yoshizuki wrote, "It's heartbreaking to hear the Nankai Trough Earthquake emergency information while drawing scenes like this," and shared a panel from the manga depicting a city in ruins. He added, "(As I've mentioned before, if the Nankai Trough Mega Earthquake occurs in reality, the series will be terminated, a decision already agreed upon by the team)."

The manga, currently serialized in Magazine Pocket, follows the story of protagonist Rei Saito, who witnesses the devastation of Nagoya Port when the Nankai Trough Mega Earthquake strikes. Amidst a "Major Tsunami Warning," he attempts to escape to higher ground but is confronted with the moral dilemma of whether to abandon an injured elderly person who can't move. The story highlights the ultimate decision and the terrifying presence of the "invisible tsunami."

The manga portrays the stark reality of a disaster that will inevitably occur someday, asking the questions: What will happen? How can we survive? It is a realistic depiction based on meticulous research.

In another X post, Yoshizuki stated, "Considering the public interest, I think it might be worth offering all chapters for free again," and expressed his concern for the safety of those in the affected area. Fans responded with comments like, "I hope the series ends as fiction, but we can't predict reality. I respect the resolve and hope that after a long serialization, we look back and see it as an unnecessary worry," "It's complicated knowing the series will end if the Nankai Trough earthquake occurs," and "I read Volume 2 just now, and it reminded me of how merciless nature can be. I hope the damage is minimal."
