On Twitter, there were comments such as "Thank you so much!" and "I'm very grateful just to have you continue! There will be pros and cons later on, but we can only discuss it after it's completed," "Let's Go Berserk," "Berserk is my No. 1 manga," "OMG! GUTS IT'S BACK," etc., and the related word "Berserk" has trended worldwide.

The reason for the resumption of serialization was stated by the Young Animal editorial department: "Before his death, Kentaro Miura told his best friend, manga artist Tsuneji Mori, about the story and episodes of 'Berserk'.

Having found the concept memo and character designs drawn by Mr. Miura, the company reported that the serialization of the manga would resume under the supervision of manga artist Tsuneji Mori, with whom Mr. Miura was a close friend, and with manga drawn by Studio Gaga, whose staff had studied under Mr. Miura.
